B&B Spoilers: Brooke Recognizes Ridge’s Revived Feelings For Taylor

Budig’s character is refusing to accept the broken heart syndrome diagnosis. However, that plot point should allow Taylor to live many decades, as Ridge predicts. What he can’t foresee is the coming dynamic shift with Brooke.

Unless Budig joined B&B’s cast for a brief stint, the legacy character this daytime veteran is playing will be seen indefinitely. If TPTB hired Budig as the recast, replacing Krista Allen, for a long-term run, then Taylor will be in Ridge’s life.

That’s a problem for Brooke. Ridge’s latent emotions were revealed when he believed Taylor was dying. But he pushed for her to get a second opinion.

Because Ridge’s influence remains persistent, Taylor listened to her true love and agreed to meet with Grace. Within two episodes, Taylor’s future looks bright, although drama is needed to rectify her current health status.

Caring about Taylor when she was in Europe was easy. She was out of sight but not out of mind.

Ridge could remain coupled with Brooke while also recalling Taylor fondly. But that scenario has shifted.

Taylor does not want to allow herself to believe that Ridge still loves her. That’s why Grace’s broken heart syndrome makes sense. Taylor was jolted when she saw Ridge and Brooke embrace in Monte Carlo.

That location shoot was nicely crafted, setting the soapy stage for the storyline that’s now playing.

Brooke spoke about her security in recent months. She had no reason to double Ridge’s love; on that point, she was and remains right.

Ridge does love Brooke. He’s married her an amazing eight times. However, Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) questioned his one-time love. He was right to ask her why Brooke isn’t remarried to Ridge now.

Bill’s question will be revisited this fall as Brooke realizes how much Taylor’s health issues affect Ridge. The potential for Brooke to lose Ridge to Taylor is plausible.

Instead, it’s become possible because Taylor is part of Ridge’s heart. Whether Brooke still occupies the dominant percentage will soon be known. Taylor will likely seek to heal her broken heart by again believing that a reconciliation with Ridge can happen.
