There is no way that Poppy Nozawa (Romy Park) can ever settle down. Learning that one’s only daughter was a veiled psychopath creates that horrid reality.

Seeing Poppy in the prison visitor’s room with Luna was disturbing. Not because either lady was with the other. Instead, it’s what Luna did after attempting to explain her actions.

Luna told Poppy she didn’t know why everything happened, claiming her actions were uncontrollable. Yamada offered a solid performance, which included a chilling smile as her mother was leaving.

It still needs to be clarified, but Luna wants to revive her game, believing that she can con everyone once more. This includes using Poppy’s confirmation that she and Bill are no longer together.

Luna’s mind’s scrambled state is reinforced through her plea to Bill. The words in her letter try to tug at his heartstrings with the seeming belief that she won’t break them.

Luna may have a darker-than-expected plot in mind because Bill rejected her. A pitch for help would seem like something he could swat away.

There’s no way that Yamada’s character can be cleared. So, she’ll be staying in prison or assigned to a maximum-security mental facility shortly. Her issues could bleed because the legal system is often plodding.

Devoted viewers recall that Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears) suddenly reappeared in the episode when Tom died. That felt like a foreshadowing. If not to use him further down the daytime road, why have Spears returned to the cast?

Luna certainly wants legal assistance beyond a public defender. She was drawn to Bill’s money and power, leading her to kill Tom because he lacked both.

Calculating Luna’s motives, she can make a pity play to Bill for help. That’s where Justin would come in unless he’s somehow revealed as being linked to Luna or Poppy.

In either instance, Justin’s legal expertise is something Luna could benefit from as part of whatever the development scheme involves.
