Welcome to Plathville star Barry Plath isn’t exactly Mr. Happy on the TLC show. He either looks stern or like a shrinking violet in the opinion of viewers, but this week, a post on social media about him churned out plenty of laughing emojis. Read on to find out why. 

Barry Plath Started Working Out

Welcome to Plathville viewers originally never thought much of Kim Plath’s husband. When they first met him on the show, he seemed like a mousey personality who did what his wife told him to do. However, after his wife left him, he started working out a lot and he did get some bulk on his previously skinny physique. So, he’s not ugly, especially, it seems, if he’s viewed from the rear. 

Recently, a throwback photo from about 1997 made the social media rounds. In it, TLC fans could see that the family patriarch was quite good-looking when he was younger. But, that doesn’t mean that they throw themselves at Barry Plath. Or, do they? Micah claimed that he gets lots of DMs about his dad. 

TLC Star Barry Plath Finds An Admirer 

On Reddit this week, a Welcome to Plathville fan posted about spotting Kim’s ex at a local grocery store. Unfortunately, they didn’t snap a quick photo. But, u/Impossible-Dark-4680 described him. And, that got the laughter going. In fact, one follower called the post “iconic.”

The caption about Barry Plath said:

Saw Barry outside of a Publix…Barry walked out of a local Publix today by himself. He seemed lonely. His arms looked extremely buff and his rear end was pretty tight in his Levi’s. I wonder if he’s seeing anyone.

As is often the case, as more people contributed to the discussion, the funnier the post seemed.
