’90 Day Fiance’ Akinyi Obala Celebrates 1st Birthday As A ‘Mommy’

90 Day Fiance alums Akinyi Obala and her husband, Benjamin Taylor expect a baby and her bump is starting to look well-advanced. Recently, she celebrated her birthday, and loved that it was the first one she could experience as “a mommy.”  

Akinyi Obala Hoped For Her Own Baby

The Kenyan woman moved from Africa to the USA, but there, she and her husband struggled for cash. He had a lot of debts, and they ended up staying with friends. Eventually, they worked hard delivering packages and food and managed to afford to rent an apartment. Only after that could they think about her having a baby. 

Akinyi Obala wanted her own baby, but Benjamin was already a dad to a young boy. At first, the 90 Day Fiance star seemed afraid to be a step-mom and she told her TLC followers in 2020 that she would try and become his friend before she tried being a parent. And, it seemed to work. But now, she has a child of her own coming along soon.

On her birthday on October 4, the 90 Day Fiance alums cuddled up for a photo and as they stood sideways to the camera, it was easy for TLC fans on Instagram to make out the growing baby bump. She wore a nice sleeveless dress. In her photo, she glowed with health and happiness.
