Adam Busby Reveals He Nearly Died In Car Accident

OutDaughtered stars Adam Busby and his wife, Danielle started a podcast called More Than Reality, and in the latest episode, the TLC star revealed that he nearly died in a car accident. In fact, he used the word “fluke “ to describe why he survived, as well as claiming that God saved his life. Read on to find out more.

In the new podcast, Danielle Busby’s husband has been talking about his early life. He and his wife discussed how they met at Target and more. Well, in Episode 3, the OutDaughtered dad returned to his younger years and talked about how he used to sing in a “church choir” and do “mission outreach” programs. But, that fell away when he went to high school and became more interested in sports, cars, and girls. 

Adam Busby and Danielle Busby kickstarted their new episode by talking about clickbait tabloids and social media posts. And, that’s the sort of thing that made them decide to start the podcast: to tell their truth. Additionally, they mentioned “fake news” about him dying. But, he went on to reveal a time when he did nearly die. 

The Near-Death Car Accident

The TLC star related how he had gotten a job while at high school at a casino. Earning good money as a valet he splurged on a car and felt very proud of it. Unfortunately, one day on his way to work, another driver pulled out in front of him. He braked hard, spun, tailended her car, and then flipped at least “six times.” Finally, he came to a stop “in a ditch” full of mud and water. 

Adam Busby recalled being badly injured as he ended up halfway out of the “passenger window.”  If he’d flipped once more, the TLC star guessed that he might have been “thrown out.” Bleeding all over the place, the EMTs finally located the source of the blood and much of it was from “glass.”

Saved By God Or A Fluke?

The OutDaughtered dad narrated how he spent ages in a hospital. There, the insurance rep showed him photos, and he confessed that the only reason he survived was because he hadn’t been wearing “a seatbelt.” At the same time, he doesn’t recommend that you don’t use one. Apparently, the roof was crushed over the driver’s seat. And so was the windscreen. If he’d been held upright, there’s no way he could have survived. The TLC star mentioned that he felt “God” was looking out for him that day.
