90 Day Fiance Steven Johnson & Alina Moved To China?

90 Day Fiance: The Other Way stars Alina Shaimardanova and her husband, Steven Johnson should not be confused with Alina Kozhevnikova and Caleb Greenwood who were fired from TLC’s Before The 90 Days. While both women hailed from Russia, they had very different journeys in the TLC network. Alina and Steven recently relocated to China and that seems a bit extreme to some fans.

Alina Shaimardanova & Steven Were Accused Of Fakery

Steven supposedly hitchhiked in Turkey to marry Alina, because covid made travel to Russia difficult. They planned on living in Turkey for a few months, and then the Mormon from Salt Lake City would move to Russia with his Russian spouse. However, Mr. Christian Missionary was too much for many TLC fans to stomach as he cheated with other women. But many 90 Day Fiance fans believed their improbable story was very fake. 

While it was okay for Steven Johnson to sleep around, it wasn’t okay for the former missionary’s girl to do so. Plus, he wouldn’t marry her before she converted and became a Mormon as well. Still, they tied the knot, and Alina Shaimardanova kept giving him second chances. Surprisingly, they actually stayed together. 

The TLC Couple Traveled A Lot, Ended Up In China 

In 2022, the news arrived that instead of the TLC stars moving to Russia, they stayed in Antalya, Turkey, and planned for her to move Stateside. For a while, they lived separate lives and he returned to the USA. So, she went back to Russia temporarily. However, they got back together again.  

The 90 Day Fiance stars seemed to love travel, and they spent time in Dubai. Whether their travel was via Steven Johnson’s missionary work or not was not very clear. However, new information revealed that they both ended up back in Turkey because the visa for the USA was very slow in coming. Additionally, Alina Shaimardanova was worrying about her residency being renewed in Turkey. So, they went to China. 

The 90 Day Fiance Alums Got Chinese Residency

Recently, Alina shared a photo of herself with an older and wiser-looking Steven Johnson. In her caption on social media, she explained about Turkey and the USA visa. Plus, she said that it took them “four months” to get their “documents” arranged and for her to get her Chinese residence permit. So, they are there enjoying their “new chapter.”

Most TLC fans remembered the couple when they saw the photo of Steven Johnson. Of course, they discussed the move to China. Here are some of their reactions:

• All I remember when I see this guy is the word skoodilypoop.
• Sadly, it was his euphemism for sex. I much prefer Aladdin’s jiggy jiggy or Annie’s boom boom.
• I worked for a Mormon company for a few years. They have a massive global business network. I reckon Steven is swinging from job to job he found on Mormonster.com or whatever the site is called.
• He’s obviously a very good con man from when we saw him initially. Personally, I wouldn’t trust this poser
• With no money, you went travelling. And settled on a country like…..China.
