90 Day Fiancé Star Mahmoud Joins Nicole In America To Give Marriage A Go

After Nicole left Egypt, 90 Day Fiancé star Mahmoud Sherbiny has now joined her in America, hoping to keep their marriage going.

After all the endless fights, they have finally reunited on US soil. When season 8 of the TLC spinoff premiered on Sunday, fans were given the latest update on Nicole and Mahmoud’s marriage and why he decided to join her in Los Angeles.

Season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? premiered on Sunday night, offering fans an update on the marriage of Nicole and Mahmoud Sherbiny. The episode covered their decision to reunite in Nicole’s home in Los Angeles.

When the episode opened, Mahmoud, 31, was a day away from arriving in L.A. Fans watched Nicole, 40, buying pajamas for Mahmoud, while informing the store clerk that he usually sleeps in “street clothes” or jeans.

90 Day Fiancé fans will recall the clashes over clothing between Nicole and Mahmoud. In her appearance on The Other Way, she joined her husband in Egypt with his family. However, due to their culture’s strict restrictions, Nicole felt stifled. She often cried about these restrictions and how his family questioned her choice not to wear a hijab. At the time, speaking of their relationship, Nicole admitted that “sometimes love isn’t enough.”

Speaking to the cameras, Nicole explained that for the past four years, she had tried to “live there, assimilate and make life in Egypt work,” adding:

But I just couldn’t do it, so I had to come back to the United States. For me, living like an Egyptian woman was a big challenge because in an Islamic marriage there were just a lot of rules – a lot of rules. Very strict rules.

Meanwhile, for Mahmoud, leaving home and heading to the US is a huge change. However, Nicole believes the spousal visa is their last chance to make their marriage work.

Speaking to the producers, Mahmoud agrees with Nicole, saying he is not letting go of his marriage without a good try, saying:

Even though it’s so hard on me to leave, and I don’t know if I can handle it or not, but, Nicole is like [the] love of my life. This is the last chance we have as a couple and I will do my best to keep our marriage together.

Meanwhile, as the episode came to an end, fans saw Nicole at the airport holding a “welcome home” sign. Moreover, she did admit that she doesn’t know “if things will improve when [Mahmoud] gets here because I don’t know if place can change all of the things that we’re going through.”
