He passed away at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada, with his family confirming on Wednesday, December 18 that he had experienced “health issues over the last several years.”

David is survived by his two sisters and his cat Gamera. The family has asked for privacy at this time.

Their statement read: “David was a veteran, small business owner, and software engineer. He had recently retired from the Clark County Treasurer’s office in Nevada, having also worked for H&R Block and IGT.”

“He was also well known for his time as a cast member on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.”

Family Of David Murphey Confirms His Death

They added that “His time on the show allowed him to connect with viewers, see the world, and share his experiences with his thousands of followers on Instagram. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and fans.”

David Murphey Passed Away in Las Vegas

The family went on to say that David had a fierce love for cats. He always made an effort to adopt cats and give them a good loving home. David’s choice for adopting was The Animal Foundation in Las Vegas.

David Murphy Dead Had Been Ill for Years

According to the website, it is one of the highest volume single-site animal shelters in America.

The Animal Foundation states that they take “in every animal who comes to us in need, no matter how sick or injured. From the expected dogs, cats, and rabbits, to pigs, chickens, and exotic animals, we serve them all.

Just like a hospital, we can’t save them all. What we can do, with the support of the community, is save every healthy and treatable animal who comes to us in need.”
