While Ed said on 90 Day Fiancé he feels he and Liz ‘dodged a bullet’ he does regret having to say goodbye to her daughter.
Is the fifteenth breakup a charm for 90 Day Fiancé stars Big Ed Brown and Liz Woods? They have broken up and made up so many times, fans feel quite dizzy. However, it does look like this latest bust up is the real deal after Ed canceled the wedding without telling Liz. However, despite this, Ed does say he feels choked up about saying goodbye to her daughter Ryleigh. Read a brief recap of Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? below.
Big Ed Brown isn’t known for his tact, and he totally took Liz by surprise earlier this season by canceling the wedding. Moreover, she only found out about the cancellation from the officiant. However, despite the fact that this means their relationship is finally over, Sunday’s episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? revealed something surprising to fans. Big Ed was almost teary-eyed about saying goodbye to Liz’s daughter, Ryleigh, with whom he had developed a bond.
On the May 19 episode, Big Ed, 58, asked Liz for a moment alone with her daughter, Ryleigh before they left to head to San Diego. The decision to move after Liz admitted that she doesn’t “know where to go from here” following this final split.
“Can I have a minute with Ryleigh, please?” Ed asked Liz. She agreed and her daughter joined Ed on the couch before they left for the airport.
As Ed sat with Ryleigh on the couch, he said while getting choked up:
I just want to apologize. I’m not sure when I might get to see you again.
“I accept your apology,” Ryleigh said. Big Ed continued, saying, “No matter what happens between your mom and I, I’ll always love you. You know that, right? You’ll always be #1 at card games.”
In a moving moment, Ryleigh told Ed that she loves him, to which he replied, “I love you, too. I just wanted to say bye.
Speaking to the cameras, Ed spoke of the relationship he had forged with Ryleigh and that he said they would often “be duking it out playing board games,” adding:
We had that relationship, which was kind of cute. And that relationship I had with her was very special. So my fear is that this has negatively impacted Ryleigh in any way, and that would just break my heart if it did. So it’s very sad to see Ryleigh go.
For her part, Liz admitted that she was “trying to stay very strong” for her daughter while she worked her way through the breakup. She said, “It’s so hard because I am here alone. I have no one to turn to,” adding that she feels “absolutely humiliated, f***ing played, used” by Ed, adding:
To have me move here and then breakup with me again – it’s a huge slap in the face.
Meanwhile, Ed did admit that he is sad about the final split from Liz after she left with her daughter.
I’m just really numb, and I need to start my life over again, at 58. I’m disappointed, obviously, the amount of time that, you know, we both invested trying to make it work, but I don’t feel like I failed. I feel like we both dodged a bullet.
