Of course, she continues to make claims that he has scammed her and she was never abusive toward him. As fans watched the show, however, they saw that Angela was really the one who was verbally, emotionally, and sometimes physically abusive.

It was clear that Michael wouldn’t be any happier in the United States than he was when he was in Nigeria. Angela continued to make his life hell and he knew that he had to get out of this marriage.

Kobe helped his friend to build him up and tell him that he deserved better in his life. He admitted to helping him in that way, but did not give him the money to escape from Angela. Kobe has proven time and time again that he is a great friend to Michael.
