For months now, rapper 50 Cent has been hyping up his P. Diddy documentary, and according to TMZ the project has finally landed a home.
As per the report, Fifty’s multi-part docuseries regarding the sexual assault claims against the Bad Boy Records founder has been purchased by the popular streaming platform, Netflix.
There Was A “Massive” Bidding War
TMZ reports there was a major bidding war over 50 Cent’s doc, which was produced through his G-Unit Film and TV Studios, noting that several networks and streaming platforms were vying for the series.
At the end of the day, Netflix emerged as the winner, and the new Diddy documentary should be hitting the platform soon.
More Bad News For P. Diddy …
The Netflix/50 Cent deal is happening at a very timely moment, as Diddy was served with another civil lawsuit this week when model Crystal McKinney accused the rap mogul of sexual assault from an incident that occurred in 2003.
McKinney came forward when security footage from 2016 surfaced where Diddy was beating on his ex-girlfriend, Cassie (Cassandra Ventura), in a hotel hallway. Cassie accused Diddy of sexual assault and abuse in 2023, and it was settled out of court within a day.
Diddy posted an apology video calling the Cassie incident one of the darkest times in his life. He is currently dealing with several other different lawsuits and sexual assault claims; however, he has denied these accusations.
50 Cent’s – Role In All The Drama
50 Cent has been trolling Diddy on social media during his legal issues, frequently weighing in on allegations, as well as the recent federal raids on Diddy’s Miami and Los Angeles homes.
The two rap artists have been in a rivalry for close to twenty years now, stemming all the way back to 2006 when Fifty released a diss track titled, “The Bomb” in which he claimed Diddy knows who killed Notorious B.I.G.
