The Great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is sick of his wayward adult children playing games with his company and all its little subsidiaries.

Nobody ever seems to work or run things. They just plan mergers and play musical CEO spots all over the place.

While Victor actually does enjoy some of his retirement time, he would also like to trust whoever is in charge and since his kids lead via their libidos, he needs someone else to do the job.

To that end, he calls Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) over for a little confab at the ranch and makes an announcement.

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is now in charge whether they like it or not — and they better like it. Ya got that?

Y&R Spoilers – Diane Jenkins To The Rescue

A meal at Society turns into much more when Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) meets with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and assures her that she has dropped her feud against Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

Sure, she still hates Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) with the fire of a thousand suns, but she is determined to be a relatively good sister.

As the conversation goes on, Ashley absent-mindedly pops a piece of fruit in her mouth and starts choking on it.

Lo and behold Diane happens to be nearby and springs into action. She does the Heimlich maneuver and saves Ashley’s life, which can change everything between them.

Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) meet with a hearing specialist and get news that they are going to have to deal with as they raise their daughter.

Also, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) sets some boundaries with Adam.

In her new job as CEO, Nikki gives Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silbber) a challenging assignment. And finally, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) does his best to score some points with Nikki.

She doesn’t trust him as far as she can throw him, so will it work?
