Y&R Spoilers: Will Adam Fall Into Victor Newman’s Trap?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) wants to bring Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) into the family fold. Adam is apprehensive about trusting Victor, but at the same time, he does want a relationship with his father.

After Victor’s power play to get partial custody of Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), Adam’s trust in Victor is low. He isn’t sure he can trust his dad and expresses concern over Victor’s lack of boundaries where Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is concerned.

Adam isn’t wrong for having trust issues with Victor. Every time Adam gives him a chance, he finds a way to prove that he’s not a priority in his life. It doesn’t matter how much Adam desires a positive relationship with Victor; he doesn’t want to give him a chance to backstab him again.

Victor has a dream of Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), and Adam running Newman Enterprises. But Victoria and Nick don’t support the idea of bringing Adam on board again.

The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Adam isn’t sure it’s a good idea either. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) gave him a chance at Jabot when no one else would. He feels uncomfortable leaving his position for an uncertain future at Newman Enterprises.

This is the million-dollar question. As much as Adam wants to give Victor another chance and accept the job offer, he will probably pass on it. Y&R spoilers reveal that there is no job security for Adam. He knows his siblings will try everything they can to force Victor to fire him.

When Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) pregnancy news comes out, Adam will want distance between Victor and Nick. He will want to focus on Sally’s needs and caring for Connor.

Soon, Adam will learn that Victor disrespected his wishes and visited Chelsea about partial custody of their son. Adam will realize that his father cannot be trusted and doesn’t respect any boundary he places.

It would be surprising if Adam returned to the Newman fold. He will probably decline and offer Victor more time with Connor.
