Y&R Spoilers: Why Is Cameron Kirsten After Sharon?

The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) has touched down in Genoa City and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is in full blown panic mode, as is the GCPD and Sharon’s friends and family, especially Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).  Cameron Kirsten wants Sharon’s head on a platter, but why? Who is he and what did Sharon do to him?

Unless you have been watching The Young and the Restless for 20 plus years, you probably have no idea who Cameron Kirsten is or why we are supposed to be so scared of him.  Let us introduce you to one of the most notorious sociopaths to his daytime TV.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sharon Case’s Relationship With Cameron Kirsten

In the late 90’s and early 2000’s, it was Sharon’s heyday on The Young and the Restless.  The daytime drama basically revolved around her, and that is when she racked up the majority of her husbands.  In fact, at one point she was even in a love triangle with Nick Newman and his father Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).  She met Cameron Kirsten for the first time when she ran away from her cheating scandal with Victor, and stopped in a hole in the wall bar in Denver.

Cameron Kirsten was already a violent psycho when he met Sharon in the bar.  It wasn’t long before he became violent with her and even tried to suffocate her with a pillow.  Sharon ran back to Genoa City and Kirsten followed her there.  After another violent altercation, she hit him over the head with a champagne bottle and thought she killed him.  Yes, that’s why he sent her a champagne bottle.

Cameron came back to torture Sharon some more, and for the grand finale Nick Newman pushed him out of an airplane.  Cameron survived and was arrested, and has been in prison until now.  Long story short, Cameron Kirsten is sadistic and mentally unstable.  He is after Sharon because he has an unhealthy obsession with her and is furious he just spent the past 20 years in prison.
