Y&R Spoilers: Why Can’t Adam Newman “Win” When He’s Being Genuine?

The Young And The Restless: Adam Newman Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that the aftermath of last week’s storyline between Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be heartbreaking. The couple lost their baby, and Adam was given an impossible decision to choose between his unborn daughter’s life, and Sally’s.

He chose Ms. Spectra, and unfortunately, he’ll get some backlash because of it. Adam has tried so hard these past few months to be the bigger person and has stepped up to the plate. Why is it that he can’t “win” as a good guy?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Revisits His “Darker Side”

Y&R spoilers suggest that Adam is set to dive into his dark side the week of June 19th. Who could blame him? Previews show Sally lashing out and blaming him for the baby’s death, suggesting he should’ve chosen his daughter’s life over hers.

Of course, Spectra will be mourning the loss of her baby and will say things she could regret. This is a hard situation, with intense emotion.

Still, Adam was by her side during this most difficult time, while Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) was off more preoccupied with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), albeit his daughter Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) was kidnapped.

The point is, if Sally gives Nick a pass in all this, but punishes Adam, he’ll likely dive into his dark side once again, and while it’s sad that this could happen, it makes complete sense considering all he’s been through in the past few days.

Y&R Spoilers – Adam Newman Is A Complicated Character

In the recent months since Sally announced her pregnancy and made it clear to Adam that he needed to back off of suggesting a romantic reunion, Newman has stepped up to the plate. He’s been there for Spectra in a co-parenting and platonic way, while also showing how much he’s dedicated to her and the baby.

Adam has flip-flopped over the years between “good” and “evil”. Sometimes it seems as if he rides a high wave of “winning” the girl whenever he is being a “bad guy”, but will he ever catch a break? Maybe that’s another reason he’ll head to the dark side. It’s so much easier to be hated for doing the wrong thing than for doing what’s right.
