The Young and the Restless (Y&R) fans want to know what happened to the Grand Phoenix. There have been many scenes shot in the Genoa City Athletic Club lately. The Grand Phoenix used to be the mainstay and happening place for many years. What happened to the hotel?

What is the Genoa City Athletic Club?

The Genoa City Athletic Club is the newly revived hotspot in town. It’s only occupied by the wealthiest citizens of Genoa City.

It also has some bad vibes. It was also the same place where Ji Min Kim (Eric Steinberg) died in his hotel room and Richard Hightower (Jay Huguley) was killed during the masquerade party. Bad vibes aside, the residents are still flocking to the Genoa City Athletic Club.

What was the Grand Phoenix?

The Grand Phoenix was started by Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). She worked hard on it when she worked for Dark Horse. After the company went bankrupt, it sold off its real estate.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) sold the project, which eventually went to Phyllis and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) even though they didn’t get along.

The hotel was bought out by Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), who wanted to get revenge on Phyllis. Ultimately, Phyllis ended up selling the hotel to Lily Chancellor (Christel Khlalil).

Young and the Restless Fans Want GP Back

The Young and the Restless fans want the Grand Phoenix to come back. Some of them have taken to Soap Central to discuss what happened to the hotel.

It was brought up the first time in April and once again this past week. One user admitted that they missed a moment when everyone went to the GCAC instead of the Grand Phoenix, which was chic and sophisticated.

Now, it seems like everyone’s taking up residence at the GCAC. One fan brought up the time that Phyllis sold the Grand Phoenix to Lily. However, some fans don’t miss the Grand Phoenix as the GCAC brings the glamour. The GP is currently being renovated, but it’s unclear when it’ll return.

Is the GCAC Getting Overbooked?

The Young and the Restless fans wonder if the GCAC is getting overbooked. Most of Genoa City is taking up residence at the hotel. It’s also the place where the murderers flock to.

It has a long history of affairs and killings. Regardless, fans are happy to see the return of GCA even with all the people living there.
