The Young And The Restless: Who Is Christian Newman?

Christian Andrew Newman (Alex Wilson) was a staple on The Young and the Restless. He is known as Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan) and Nick Newman’s son.

The adorable little boy was full of life during his time on the daytime soap. However, his paternity was always a complex matter.

Both Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nick consider themselves as the boy’s father. Christian was raised by various parents in his life. He had a complicated childhood in which he was almost assumed dead. Christian turned out not to be dead, as he was given to Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), who suffered a miscarriage.

Her doctor assured her that she didn’t lose her baby. She was told that she gave birth to a healthy baby boy. At first, Christian was named Sullivan “Sully” McAvoy. Over the years, Adam grew close to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and confessed that he was Christian’s father.

Christian had a complicated childhood over the years, which included being handed off to different parents. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) even was appointed as Christian’s guardian at one point.

She granted Adam and Nick supervised visits. The last time Christian was even mentioned was in May 2022, when Nick suggested that she could spend time with Christian.

Y&R: What Happened To Christian Newman?

It’s been over a year and The Young and the Restless fans want to know what happened to Christian. Nick never returned home to his son, nor has he mentioned him. One fan brought it up on the Soap Central forums.

“Nick should have gone home to Christian, definitely,” one fan argued. “They do not have an actor playing Christian, and if Nick were to simply go home, we would never see him on our screen,” another noted.
