The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) faces a balancing act. She believes her father will not counter anything she does as long as Newman Enterprises is making money and gaining power.
But she violated one of Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) tenets. She went against a family member when forcing Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) to take a leave of absence.
Devoted viewers know Victor broke his rule many times through the decades. But he rationalized every instance when doing so.

According to Y&R spoilers, Nick chose to believe Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) manipulated Victoria into creating the need for a leave of absence. Morrow’s character can not get past what Nate did to his cousins at Chancellor-Winters.
As viewers recall, Nate sought out Victoria as a business partner when attempting to undermine CW’s plan to make an initial public offering. Nate reminded Nick that the plan never happened because the plug was voluntarily pulled.
However, Nick did not accept Nate’s logic. The subsequent betrayal of Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) reinforced Nick’s belief that Nate is untrustworthy.
Y&R Spoilers – Victor Newman Will Enforce The Rules
Victor holds the Chief Executive Officer title at Newman Enterprises. That happened when she made an ultimatum.
Victor was pleased that his firstborn child approached him as he has others. Her take-it or leave-it offer was embraced and the company has prospered since that elevation.
But Victor’s assessment of success goes beyond the bottom line. He demands complete loyalty. That has been impossible to achieve for everyone in his family to date because the Moustache whimsically moves the soapy goalposts.

A test of wills has just begun to play out. In the short-term, Nick does arguably need time off to handle the emotional fallout of Cameron Kirsten’s (Linden Ashby) terrible return to Genoa City, Wisconsin, at death at the hands of Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case).
Along with the above, Nick is impacted by Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) stillbirth. So, Victoria has a limited amount of time and space to operate.
But Victor will weigh in if Victoria’s chosen CEO decides Nate’s interim Chief Operating Officer tag will stick. The founder and true head of Newman Enterprises will make the final decision about who holds the power positions on Y&R.
