Y&R Spoilers: Victoria And Nate Con Victor And Destroy Adam

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is taking a different approach to her father as compared to how Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is dealing with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Of course, Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) portrait again hangs in the Chief Executive Officer’s suite.

In contrast, Adam agreed to accept his father’s take-it or leave-it employment offer to be Nate’s assistant. Victoria knows she was wrong. Nate knows he has been saddled with a troublemaker who consistently projects entitlement.

Victor does whatever he wants to do. He is the boss and his firstborn child, who he allowed to become the Chief Executive Officer of the company he founded and stepped aside so she could run, should understand that completely. But she does not.

Victoria was understandably upset that her father unceremoniously booted her out of her job and the office where she had been working. Adding insult to soapy injury, he also had the replacement portrait he and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) had commissioned removed.

However, Victoria has more experience than any of her siblings and possibly any employee in Newman Enterprises’ history with Victor. She knows how his mind works and is forcing herself to deal with his brutish boss approach.

Y&R Spoilers – Nate Hastings Does Not Like This Task

Nate had an assistant he was pleased with. Greg (no last name known for this character who has not been seen, with no actor cast to play him) was reassigned, as Victor told Nate.

Adam wanted to start climbing back up the family’s corporate ladder by starting wherever Victor said the bottom was. The Moustache decided that was not the mail room and his troublesome son was not going to sit in the corporate washroom again.

So, Adam is now Nate’s assistant. Victor privately told Nate to keep an eye on Adam, basically positioning him as a babysitter.

Victoria and Adam have a lot in common, though each sibling would likely disagree with that subjective observation.

Victor recognizes their similar traits and tests them in different ways. Victoria has talent and gets sidetracked by personal distractions. Adam is also very talented but engages in repetitive self-sabotage.

There is little reasonable doubt about Victor testing both of his children. He wants them to channel their energies and eventually not need to be treated with the kid gloves he must wear when dealing with them on Y&R.
