Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) warned Victor this cruel test could have this kind of outcome and he could drive Nick and Victoria out of his life.

Nikki doesn’t consider Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in her thoughts, but he was just as worried about Victor as Nick and Victoria; Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) wasn’t even included or told.

What about the grandchildren-what would Summer Newman-Abbott (Alison Lanier) think so soon after her mother faked her death?

Nikki considered this the cruelest plot since Victor faked his death several years ago to punish Adam, who’d switched his medication.

This was when he had a rare disease that Nate Hastings, (Sean Dominic) still a doctor then was trying an experimental medication on him as a cure.

Nick and Victoria both lash out, Nick having been the first to figure out Victor was playing mind games after Adam looked in his desk and found the strange doodle.

It was a snake made up of Nick, Victoria, and Adam’s names and after going to Crimson Lights and venting to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) they’d been duped he told Victoria.

Sharon was shocked but not surprised-she’s seen the worst of Victor Newman, and his mind games and control.

Victoria is absolutely livid and Adam is angry as well when he finds out-even though he doesn’t get along with a majority of the family, he truly cares for Victor.

Nick and Victoria confront Victor together, Victoria taking the lead and lashing out at their father, confirming they know they’ve been played.

Victoria questions Victor to no response, making her even angrier as she asks if he really thinks she’d take advantage of his health for a job title? Victor just sits there and plays dumb, like he doesn’t understand what they’re upset about, like his mind is in outer space somewhere adrift.

What it boils down to is Victor gave Victoria the job of CEO after she fought hard for it and now he has decided he wants to be CEO again. Will his plot backfire, and he lose his children forever over his mind games?
