Y&R Spoilers: Tucker Regains Hope – Ashley Can Not Let Go

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) had enough. Anticipation for a deal with his son fell through, and a bad conversation with the love of his life happened. So, Tucker acted on impulse and contacted Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

The Moustache let it be known that he wanted to buy McCall Unlimited. Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) recent nix of Newman Enterprises providing the capital to do so means that Victor would have to use his own resources.

Tucker made a handshake deal with Victor and appeared ready to leave Genoa City, Wisconsin, as he told Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).

Ashley went to Tucker’s suite at the recently revived Genoa City Athletic Club setting and was surprised. Tucker had champagne and a rose waiting for her. So, she believed those symbols indicated a celebration was in order.

But Tucker had not reached an agreement to sell his company to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) as Ashley wanted him to do. Her acquisition of McCall Unlimited’s entire outstanding debt was purposeful.

Ashley took that risk because she realized Tucker needed help to be a real father. She wanted to create a scenario where he and Devon could repair their relationship and establish a lasting bond.

Tucker’s tell to Ashley, about the deal being off, was followed by him reinforcing his wholehearted attempts to show her how much she was loved. She told him he had a wandering eye for women, and their get-together disintegrated.

Y&R Spoilers – Devon Hamilton Does Not Trust His Father

Devon considers the late Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) his only father. Neil and the late Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell) adopted Devon when he was a teenager. Their selfless generosity changed his life forever.

Tucker was revealed as Devon’s biological father in later years. That link meant Devon was Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) grandson. He inherited the bulk of her estate. That altered the trajectory of Devon’s life in unimaginable ways.

While Devon eventually came to accept Tucker, he eventually left GC after Katherine’s death and only returned last year. Trust reemerged as a stumbling block between father and son since then.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Ashley Abbott Is Not There Yet

Ashley is teased to ask Tucker to move in with her. Hopefully, that happens as the idea of that pairing, along with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) living under the same roof would create endless soap opportunities for conflict and superb Abbott mansion banter.

Tucker will be stunned by Ashley’s request. He presumed there was no hope left. But the audience suspected Ashley can not get Tucker out of her system. Maybe love will still prevail on Y&R.
