Y&R Spoilers: Tucker Is Not Naive – Ashley Overestimates Influence?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) appeared to have lost hope. Dismissals of reconciliation with his newly remarried wife implied that Tucker believes Ashley wronged him.

Ashley Abbott McCall (Eileen Davidson) is sharp and knows Tucker’s mind better than anyone. She knows his ego was wounded and that he still loves her. But the challenge Ashley faces this time is trying to convince her already suspicious husband that she is sincere in exploring paths back to peace. Her goal is to get a sense of his plan of attack against Jabot.

Tucker is operating on multiple fronts. One of them includes having partnered with Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd) as part of their attempt to dethrone Jill Abbott (Jess Walton).

Ashley will torpedo those plans by telling Mamie how terrible Tucker supposedly was to her.

Davidson’s character will not be open to any positive intentions Tucker had in wanting to orchestrate a scenario where his son, Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James), and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) gain control of the family business.

Like Mamie, Tucker believes Jill should have never been part of Chancellor Industries and should not have had any involvement in the merger of that company with Hamilton-Winters.

Tucker was mad when Ashley balked at walking from Jabot and founding Simply Ashley with him.

So, if the dashing of that hypothetical company caused him to react, viewers are waiting to see what happens if the woman he feels has already broken his trust is directly involved in crashing the business plan he had for his son.

Devon has been increasingly upset with his dad, sensing devious measures were concealed. A problem for Tucker lies in him having denied being involved with Mamie, which was untrue.

While Tucker’s intentions appear to be good, Devon values trust with the break from Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), which involved her cheating with his cousin Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), breaking his heart.

Ashley has made mistakes when allowing her emotions to take control. Such is the case in this instance.

On the plus side, Tucker has few allies other than Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).

St. John’s character is also captive to his feelings, with the entire retaliatory attack against Jabot representing his way of punishing Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). But Jack is not responsible for Ashley’s actions.

An unavoidable confrontation between two super sensitive people, whose love history is vitriolic, means solid drama is ahead on Y&R.
