Ashley has kept Tucker around, sometimes like a puppy dog. She enjoys his admiration while favoring the punishment he is willing to take.

Tucker’s affair with Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is ancient history. But Ashley harbors that hurt in her heart which is why she has not reconciled with her ex-husband.

Ashley is prickly, and she has a right to be. Tucker broke her trust years ago and left Genoa City, Wisconsin, and did not return until last year.

The helicopter stunt did not impress her. It reinforced Ashley’s belief that Tucker had not learned anything during his self-imposed exile. But she realized Tucker lacked the tools to help himself improve and was sincere about wanting to do so.

Obtaining his corporate debt was a useful technique and created a test. If Tucker was earnest, he would follow her advice and sell McCall Unlimited to Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).

But that has not happened yet, even though Devon told Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) he was inclined to pursue Tucker’s offer. So, Ashley could still refuse Tucker’s remarriage proposal that he keeps updating.

Y&R Spoilers – Devon Hamilton Feels A Shift

Devon also told Abby that he felt a shift take place inside himself. That happened through Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) influence. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) wanted to honor their friend and Devon’s adoptive father.

The impact of the jazz club, named in Neil’s honor at the GC bicentennial celebration, was profound. It led to Devon and his sister, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), resolving their differences.

The shift Devon felt appears to incline him to buy Tucker’s company so he can work with his biological father. But Victor and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) want McCall Unlimited.

Tucker is down the path with Ashley. It feels like his chances to win Ashley back improve if he can secure the deal with Devon.
