Y&R Spoilers: Tragedy Strikes The Newmans, Nikki’s Drunken Hit And Run?

The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease tragedy could again strike the Newmans, as Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) drives drunk.

She could easily cause a situation like Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) encountered, and run over a child, likely with fatal results.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Delia Abbott Déjà Vu?

Adam accidentally ran over and killed Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) one dark night on a country road, and left the scene-she’d been thrown in the bushes and he didn’t see her.

Adam wasn’t even drunk, just dodging Delia’s dog-while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) was in a store buying ice cream-he shouldn’t have left her in the car with the dog.

It was a terrible tragedy that while, his son Conner Newman (Judah Mackey) received Delia’s corneas, it set off a feud between him and Billy for years.

Another hit and run storyline from the past involved Nikki driving drunk-and running over Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) worked for months to get Nikki acquitted but in this case Diane faked her death; but what if Nikki runs over and kills a child this time?

Y & R Spoilers – Forced Off The Sobriety Wagon

Nikki was forced off the sobriety wagon by Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) when she was held hostage at Jordan’s house, complete with vodka IV.

One would think with Nikki’s alcohol problems of the past, Victor would clear out every bottle of alcohol at the Newman Ranch, or at least lock it up-but he doesn’t.

Nikki’s seen pouring herself a drink in a room by herself in a recent promo for the week of December 4-8, and she still looks pretty rough.

With alcohol coursing through her blood through that IV, it’s a miracle she didn’t suffer alcohol poisoning; what happened there wasn’t her fault, but what she does back home will be.

Nikki really needs to find an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and begin attending and have a AA partner to call when she’s tempted, instead of being surrounded by her demons.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – What If She Badly Injured Or Killed A Grandchild?

Nikki would never forgive herself if she drove drunk and badly injured or killed a child, especially if it were a grandchild of her own.

Luckily, there aren’t a passel of kids around the ranch any more but it would be just as bad if it were someone else’s child who was killed or hurt.

Even if it were an adult, someone out for a walk at night it could still be a tragedy that would affect the Newmans, especially Nikki, adversely.

While Claire appears to still be in custody in Oregon, she’ll likely be coming to Genoa City because of Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Hopefully she won’t be run over-but Aunt Jordan, who’s also returning as a victim might be poetic justice!
