The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) wants to believe that she and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) are taking another break. She also does not recognize Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) as a deadly threat to her marriage revival hopes. Summer could be proven wrong on both plot points soon. For now, Kyle’s reckless entanglement with Audra remains hidden.

Fans know that Genoa City, Wisconsin is a small, soapy world. That means Kyle’s indiscretion will eventually be known, and when it is Summer will explode.

Kyle’s mother, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), played dead for many years. She allowed Kyle to be immeasurably impacted by terrible grief, with her loss dramatically shaping his life.

The above makes Kyle’s outrage ridiculous. While it is understandable that he would be upset and disappointed in Summer’s exposed defense of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), he was wrong to conclude that the act represented an irreconcilable marital difference.

Then, Kyle used Audra as a method of revenge. After doing so he then impulsively decided that he could no longer work with Summer at Jabot.

Merely by romantically connecting with Kyle, Audra put herself in a power position. Her potentially temporary position as Newman Media’s Chief Executive Officer could give her the ability to bring Kyle on board.

Audra sees the potential of Kyle’s faltering marriage as an opportunity. She wants to put herself on a glide path in Genoa City, Wisconsin. That becomes easier when connected to powerful people.

Summer is not out of the picture yet, as she remains in Kyle’s heart. So, future developments will be key to determining if he is truly done with his wife.

Phyllis overwhelmed her daughter when asking Summer to keep the faked death secret. That gave Kyle his weak reason to throw his wife out of the Abbott mansion and presumably, his life.

Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) is negatively impacted by Summer’s forced departure. Will Kyle expect Audra to demonstrate the same level of compassion for his son as Summer did when assuming Tara Locke’s (Elizabeth Leiner) role?

Time will be needed for Summer to deal with what has already happened. Then, she will need to process Kyle breaking their marital vows. That makes Chance Chancellor’s (Conner Floyd) presence intriguing in Summer’s life on Y&R.
