Y&R Spoilers: Summer Wants To Move On – Chance’s Relationship With Sharon An Issue

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) is ready to end her marriage.

Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) did not dispute the need for a divorce when this recently happy couple last spoke.

Kyle blamed Summer because he believes her protection of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) represents a trust break that can not be repaired. His thinking is impulsive, shallow, self-involved, foolish, and wrong.

Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) does not have Kyle’s best interests at heart though he may not want to admit that their transactional connection is a ridiculous reaction to Summer’s fixable mistake.

As is true of some in his generation in Genoa City, Wisconsin, emotion makes Kyle irrational.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – No, That Critique Of Kyle Abbott Was Not Too Harsh

Consider how harsh Kyle has been toward Summer. This is the woman who embraced the child he had with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner).

That would be the same Tara who was married to Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi and Robert Newman) when Kyle knowingly involved himself with her.

So, Kyle rationalized Tara’s breaking trust with her husband by violating her marriage vows but Summer withholding information about Phyllis setting up Kyle’s mother, the now Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) was irredeemable.

Hypocrisy defines Kyle. His refusal to recognize that Summer wholeheartedly embraced the child, Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), embraced and has been raising as her own.

Of course, Harrison is the child Tara gave birth to, and did not tell Kyle about it until she was forced to.

Y&R Spoilers – Summer Newman Abbott Deals With Trust Issues

Kyle is a sum of his life’s story. His mother lied to him by pretending to have been killed by Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), who is Summer’s paternal grandmother.

So, Kyle had trust issues that were spurned by his mother rather than by Summer covering for Phyllis. His psychological wound was reopened by what Phyllis’ actions caused Summer to do.

Yes, Summer used her free will to protect Phyllis. And yes, Kyle is using his free will to react to protect himself by involving himself with someone he did not know until they connected at the revived Genoa City Athletic Club.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – So, Is Chance Chancellor The Rebound?

Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) became close with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) after her husband and his mentor was tragically killed in a car accident that involved Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Ashland. The small-world nature of soap is threaded through that written flashback.

The recent romantic developments between Chance and Sharon are coupled with Summer’s seeming interest in Floyd’s character.

Since Chance and Sharon have not been involved for long, it is plausible to believe that Summer could become part of a new triangle on Y&R.
