Y&R Spoilers: Summer Newman-Abbott’s Guilt Has Her Bonding With Diane Jenkins

Y&R (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will struggle with some guilt. After all, she knows her mom Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is alive and well, which means there’s no reason for Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) to be up for murder charges and in jail. Added teasers suggest that Summer will feel guilty about keeping this secret from hubby Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). She may also feel bad about what this is doing to Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez). Will this cause Summer to ease up on her aggression toward his mom?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Summer Newman-Abbott Will Feel Bad

Y&R spoilers hint that Diane may be let out of jail on bail soon. This means she’ll head back to Abbott Mansion, and likely be surprised by the reception she gets from Summer. After all, her daughter-in-law had so much animosity towards Jenkins before she was charged, because she truly believed Diane had killed her mom. Plus, she was mourning Red’s death. Now that she knows that Phyllis is alive, but that Jenkins didn’t really do anything wrong, Summer’s attitude towards her mother-in-law will change. Mostly because she knows the truth and hates lying, but also because she’ll feel bad for what Diane’s going through.

Still, Summer won’t feel bad enough to reveal what her mom is she’s up to now, but she’ll still feel some remorse.

Could Summer and Diane bond, once Jenkins returns to the mansion? The young lady may feel as if she needs to “make up” for what her mom has done. She may also see Diane in a new light. Maybe she’ll start to see that Phyllis has been wrong about Jenkins this whole time. The two ladies could start to build a foundation around a genuine mother-in-law/daughter-in-law relationship. Harrison may also help build a bridge between the two ladies as he’ll be super excited “Dee Dee” is back home.
