Y&R’s fiftieth-anniversary celebration continues to include the revival of characters devoted fans have not seen in many years. Ashby’s character debuted two decades ago. Cameron was last seen in 2004 when Sharon and Nick appointed themselves his judge and jury.

Newer viewers have learned about Cameron’s notorious past through extensive flashback scenes. He met Sharon during a getaway trip she took to Colorado. They had a romantic encounter that involved alcohol and led to Sharon being physically attacked.

Cameron came to Genoa City, Wisconsin, tormented Sharon, and was eventually believed to have been killed by her. But he survived and was bent on revenge until the memorable storyline wrapped and included the three characters parachuting out of a plane.

As an aside, Ashby has been married to one of the soap’s regular cast members, Susan Walters (Diane Jenkins), since 1986. They were cast members of the fondly remembered soap opera, Loving.

Y&R Spoilers – Nick Newman Does Not Follow Orders

Chance has seen that the elite members of GC do not believe in following the law. The click often believes it is above it.

Nick was told not to take matters into his own hands, yet he did exactly that. Confronting Cameron in his GC Athletic Club suite was unwise because no other people were present.

Cameron effectively baited Nick to respond to the overtures he made to Sharon. That led to Nick punching the wall in Cameron’s room at the GCAC. Ashby’s character used that to orchestrate an assault hoax and have him arrested.

Viewers suspect that they are being taken on another short-term ride. They anticipate more mayhem involving Cameron but also are awaiting his meeting justice.

It would not be surprising to see Ashby’s returned villain meet his ultimate fate because he was previously imprisoned. Devoted fans enjoy a retro tale that reunites Sharon and Nick for another daytime adventure where they fight for each other and their family on Y&R.
