Sally had it bad for Adam after they first met. His bad-boy persona is infamous in this fictional Midwestern setting.

Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) found Adam’s irresistible charm the most intense she had ever encountered. Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) has the deepest bond with Adam.

She is also the mother of two of his children (Riley Newman, who died before birth and was played in a dream sequence by Malachi Barton) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).

Sage Newman (Kelly Sullivan) was never as in love with Adam as Sharon and Chelsea. But she did have Adam’s most recent child, Christian Newman (Alex Wilson).

Y&R Spoilers – Nick Newman Bugged By The Competition

It was extremely devastating to learn that Adam was the father of Sally’s baby. Nick and Sally wanted Morrow’s character to triumph in that paternity competition. But as was true with Sage, Adam won.

Sally was drawn to Nick at a much slower pace. She found his calm demeanor and parenting skills to be admirable. And admiration is a good word to reference when referring to the feelings these characters share.

But Nick knows that somewhere inside Sally’s heart, she is still fond of Adam. That bugs him, with the baby being an indefinite tie that can not be broken.

Sally did not accept Nick’s offer to help her start a business. She was disgusted that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) offered to provide seed money to relaunch whatever enterprise she desired, as long as she renounced rights to Adam’s child and left GC forever.

Remaining committed to Nick after the paternity confirmation and starting an interior design business with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), which is free of anyone’s financial input, reinforces Sally’s independent spirit.

Nick knows that Sally’s nature means she can remain set on the current course or change it at any point in the plot. Adam is counting on the latter on Y&R.
