Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) has enough stress with an unplanned pregnancy so not knowing who fathered her baby just adds to the stress. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) finally knows she’s pregnant and is trying to be supportive of her. They even make love but that sweet gesture is too much for Sally to handle, so she breaks down and tells Nick he might not be the father and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is a contender. Of course, this is something he already suspected.

“I’m not sure why Sally doesn’t think Nick already knows this,” Joshua Morrow said in the February 6, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “After all, he walked in right after she had sex with Adam, so, of course, he would wonder if he is a part of her pregnancy.”

Still, Sally feels like it needs to be said just so she can make sure that Nick is clear on everything. It’s a surprisingly honest thing for Sally to do as she is not always known for being totally truthful with people. A case in point would be faking a deadly disease to hold onto Wyatt Spencer when she still lived in Los Angeles and on The Bold and the Beautiful canvas.

Nick also wants to be honest and thinks that Adam might want to know what is going on so Nick doesn’t end up raising another one of Adam’s kids. Nick has been there before and is not sure he wants to be there again.

“Nick doesn’t want to involve Adam any more than he already is,” Morrow told Digest. “But at some point, Adam will have to know. Nick doesn’t want to keep this a secret and he wants to be upfront about everything.”

However, he is aware that Sally might not be ready to tell Adam what is going on yet and is allowing this entire scenario to play out on her terms.
