Y&R Spoilers: Phyllis Returns To The Scene – Family Needs Resolution

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has recently been out of sight. She did not want to inform Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) of her location the last time they spoke, which was by video chat.

Once Phyllis learned that her children did not hate her, she was determined to make things right. But hearing Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) express their grief at the wake also meant confronting Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).

According to Y&R spoilers, Phyllis’ path to redemption is complicated. If Jeremy were alive, she would not have to worry about beating a murder rap. But it is possible she may not be held responsible for the murder hoax because Phyllis had to kill him in self-defense.

Jeremy hounded Phyllis for weeks on end. He knew she was the ideal person to help him bring down Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).

Their mutual loathing society caused both parties to conspire against Walters’ character. They successfully convinced those in Genoa City, Wisconsin that Phyllis was poisoned by Diane and that Stafford’s character died in a fiery ambulance crash.

Viewers took note of a secondary character that Jeremy paid. Carson (no last name known for the character played by Walter Belenky). Jeremy’s big bribe to that Emergency Medical Technician was referenced by Summer as a possible opportunity for her mother.

Whether Summer can make contact with Walter and pay him that he witnessed Phyllis kill Jeremy in self-defense is an open question. Michael Baldwin’s (Christian Le Blanc) involvement in Phyllis’ case means he will likely intervene in or prevent that effort.

Walter stands as the one known person who can help Phyllis by either providing information to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) that directs his attention to Jeremy as the overriding villain or if bribed, convinces the GC police detective that she did not plan to kill Jeremy.

Summer lost control of this situation the moment Phyllis made her promise not to tell anyone she was not poisoned by Diane, had not died in the ambulance crash, and killed Jeremy in the hotel bathroom.

Lanier’s character could not deal with the intensity of the drama Phyllis admitted to. Summer felt unable to confide in Kyle because she knew he would use that information to clear his mother.

Phyllis knows she needs to wrap up this storyline soon. So, the scene where she is communicating with Michael, where she communicates with Michael should create a near-term outcome on Y&R.
