There’s an age difference there, plus, Webster may sense Sharon still has feelings for her high school sweetheart and baby daddy, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

Now that Nick and Sharon are working together, Nina could worry that Chance is setting himself up for more heartbreak. Shick has had an ongoing pattern of breaking up and making up.

After all, Nina lived in the little town during Shick’s many relationships, and she’s seen their chemistry, first-hand, for years.

On top of disapproval of his current girlfriend, Nina may see the sparks between Chance and his “friend” Summer Newman (Allison Lanier). If that’s the case, Ms. Webster may encourage her son to explore his romantic options.

Of course, Ms. Newman likely knows Nina because of her books and history in Genoa City; however, they’ve never really been in storylines together.

Still, the two could have an accidental run-in one day and decide to share a coffee, drink, or possibly a meal, and hit it off. In fact, Summer may win Nina over.

As the mom doesn’t want to see her son hurt the way Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) stomped on his heart, she may decide to take matters into her own hands and try to get these two to realize what she sees.
