Nick Newman is a tried and true hero on The Young and the Restless. Has there been a damsel in distress in Genoa City that hasn’t been saved at one point or another by Nick? When Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) popped up in Genoa City, Nick went in to full blown superhero mode, cape and all, to save his ex-wife. But, Sally Spectra needed some saving as well, and he didn’t come through for her.
The Young and the Restless spoilers hint a Nick and Sharon reunion in the works, where does that leave Sally Spectra? Nick is supposed to be grieving, he just lost a baby too, but he doesn’t seem too torn up about it and Sally notices. Instead he is caught up in the Cameron aftermath and making sure Sharon doesn’t need to take a vacation to the mental hospital again.
You have to feel sorry for Sally Spectra. She got stuck with Nick’s brother Adam holding her hand while she was in the hospital losing her baby, because Nick was too busy with Sharon. That’s a punch in the gut on its own. Now, imagine trying to recover emotionally and physically from a miscarriage, and getting dumped by your boyfriend for another woman.
It sounds cold-hearted and is hard to fathom, but that’s exactly what viewers are watching unfold every day on the CBS soap. Do you feel bad for Sally Spectra? Should she be more understanding of Nick and Sharon’s situation or does she have every right to be upset?
