Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) is dead because Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) responded to his threat to kill her when plunging a knife that Nick gave her into his chest.Viewers antici pated Nick’s quick thinking would provide Sharon with a prop she would need.

Cameron underestimated the woman he claimed to love and the man he foolishly still believed was his rival. As the above was playing out, sad drama unfolded at Genoa City Memorial Hospital. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) suffered a health crisis that resulted in the baby girl she and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) were expecting later this year to die.

Cameron was put in jail the last time viewers saw Ashby’s character. The nearly two-decade gap between Sharon and Nick’s efforts to bring Cameron to justice and his return to Genoa City, Wisconsin, led to a dramatic ending.

Devoted viewers suspected that the rapid pace of the latest special fiftieth-anniversary storyline was leading to a final solution. Dialogue hints and other clues led fans to believe Cameron would not escape or be sent back to prison but would be permanently dealt with.

The threat Cameron made to Nick, to save either Sharon or Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), included a reveal. Cameron said he knew he was not walking out of the sewer where he had been keeping Faith prisoner.

Nick was not with Sally when she suffered her malady. He had to be with Sharon, who was in the last lap her final showdown with Cameron.

So, Adam stepped in. The restraint he has displayed, since first learning he was the father of the baby Sally was having, was admirable.

Morrow’s character had to admit that his younger brother was dealing with the unusual nature of the triangle with unexpected poise. That gave Nick the confidence to leave Sally’s care to Adam while he helped Sharon search for Faith.

Adam and Nick experienced parenthood on multiple occasions. She appreciated having their support during what was her first pregnancy.

While she wanted Nick to be the father of her baby, Sally was heartened by the loving manner Adam handled the outcome which included her decision not to revisit their relationship. But what happened will test the strength of her connections to Nick and Adam.

It would seem that a clear path now exists for Sally and Nick to get married and have a child of their own. However, the unexpected tumult that occurred pushes all characters into unknown territory on Y&R.
