Y&R spoilers show Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) can tell there is something very wrong with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), at least emotionally.

After some prodding, he gets to her admit that his own dad, The Great Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), offered to essentially buy Sally’s baby for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Yes, Victor offers Sally a whole lot of money to hand her child to Adam once she is born and heads out of town quickly.

Of course, Sally is not about to do that. She is already attached to her daughter, especially after seeing the ultrasound photos.

Knowing her gender and a little of what she looks like makes this pregnancy and the prospect of being someone’s mother all the more real. Nick knows Sally wouldn’t even consider Victor’s offer, but that does not make him any less angry that his father would do such a thing.

Not surprisingly, the first thing Nick wants to do is confront Victor about this latest move, but Sally begs him not to.

“Sally knows Nick has a real issue with his dad butting into situations,” Joshua Morrow said in the May 8, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “She’s being a good partner and trying to limit the potential fireworks. She knows these two men are not going to back down from each other when it comes to getting what they want, so she’s doing the best she can to calm Nick down.”

That is clearly easier said than done. Nick may tell Sally that he is going to leave things be but when he soon makes an excuse to leave her hotel room sooner than expected, Sally knows exactly what she is up to. Expect extreme fireworks between Nick and Victor.

When Adam gets wind of his father’s latest move, there will also be fireworks considering that his main goal is to raise this baby with Sally, as he is still madly in love with her. Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless weekdays to see how this story plays out.
