Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that fans should expect the unexpected during May Sweeps. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has done a stellar job in “backing off” with any romantic intentions towards his baby momma, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), but how long can he successfully do this when there are still feelings between the pair?

It doesn’t help that Nick Newman (Josh Morrow) is constantly in and around Ms. Spectra; however, if Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) was dealing with a crisis, Nick would promptly be by her side to support her. Could a situation of this sort help Adam move in and sway Sally’s heart back to him?

Y&R spoilers imply that Sharon will have an unexpected situation come up, where she’ll need Nick’s attention. While Nick has been there for Ms. Spectra a lot as of late, he may need to share his time between his current love and one of his dearest friends.

Newman has always been a rock for Sharon during difficult times, and whatever unravels in her world soon, he’ll want to be a source of comfort and support.

With that said, while Adam and Sharon have always been close, they’ve never had the bond that Sharon and Nick share.

Plus, Adam may see this as an opportunity to allow Nick to play the hero for Ms. Rosales, where he can move in and get a little closer to Sally.

Y&R Spoilers While Nick Newman’s Distracted, Adam Newman Will Lay It On Thick

Adam believes he’s the one for Sally, and while he’s trying to play it “cool” as of late, he may lay it on that much thicker with Nick out of the picture and preoccupied.

Plus, for whatever reason, Sally was never intimated by Adam and Sharon’s bond; however, she does have a slight insecurity about the closeness Nick and Sharon share.

Could Adam remind Sally that he’s with her when she needs him, while Nick seems concerned about his ex-wife? That could have Ms. Spectra rethinking things.
