Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) is a good person. As a doctor, she has devoted her life to helping people maintain their health and saving their lives.

As for her personal life, Elena went off-course when betraying Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and coupling with Nate. The transition was far from seamless, as Elena’s cheat provoked Devon to punch his cousin in the face. That act caused Nate to fall and badly injure one of his hands, rendering him unable to continue his profession as a surgeon.

It was fair to wonder during the early days of Elena and Nate’s connection if their pairing was the fulfillment of destiny. Despite the strong appeal of Imani Benedict (last played by Denise Boutte) and Audra, Nate did not break his commitment to Elena and remained loyal to her.

But fans saw that a few drinks of high-priced liquor enabled the inhibitions of Nate and Victor to quickly drop. A passionate kiss ensued in Newman Media’s office.

Audra is clearly smart. But she uses her intelligence to scheme rather than uplift others.

Silver’s character became involved in a romantic relationship with Tucker, who funded her college education. That represents a fortune in modern times.

While Tucker was divorced from Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), the dysfunctional nature of his connection with Audra was obvious. Silver’s character looked as though she was physically sick when Tucker made overtures toward her on some occasions in his suite. But at other times, she willingly cavorted.

Audra told Nate about her business and personal connection to Nate, including her cloaked placement inside Chancellor-Winters, but he still hired her. Victoria was aware of Audra’s compromised ethics but still endorsed Nate’s hire of her.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was a notorious carouser. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) tolerated her husband’s behavior because of their children and the good life she wanted to maintain in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Victoria, like Audra, is not married. But it is not right to pursue a man who is committed to another woman. Like Audra, Victoria’s morals are compromised.

Devoted fans know that the Newman family practices creative morality better than most in GC. Nate, Audra, and Victoria are engaging in self-sabotage, with negative consequences likely resulting for each to varying degrees on Y&R.
