Summer Newman has been confiding in Chelsea Lawson lately. The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that she could use a friend during this time. Summer doesn’t have too many girlfriends in Genoa City since she’s not really a “girl’s girl.”

She found a new friendship with Chelsea. She also believes that Chelsea would be the perfect fit for the Marchetti brand. However, all Summer can think about is the end of her marriage. Every time they get to work, Summer spends most of her time talking to Chelsea about Kyle.

Summer claims that he’s the one who left her hurt. Yet, it was Summer who hurt Kyle when she lied to him about her mom Phyllis Summer’s (Michelle Stafford) murder. She faked her death and staged murder in an effect to get revenge on Kyle’s mom Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). This caused a wedge between the young couple.

The Young and the Restless spoilers hint that Chelsea will get stabbed in the back. Fans have a feeling that the writers will revisit Summer’s brief affair with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). The two hooked up in the past when Hunter King played the role of Summer. She portrayed Summer’s vivacious and ruthless side.

The new Summer has been dedicated to her marriage and family. Summer has been confiding in everyone about her split, including Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd). Some Y&R fans have a feeling that she will hook up with either man to help her get over Kyle.

However, Summer hinted that Kyle is using his affair with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) as a distraction from their marriage. She would rather focus on her business and her family. The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest that Summer’s business relationship with Chelsea could become prickly. She might grow close to Billy during this time and push Chelsea out of the picture.
