As Mamie is looking to bring Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) back into the fold, Jill recently proposed that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) enter the “family business” now that he’s looking to change careers.

Y&R spoilers imply that Chance is looking to enter a new field after his life was placed on the line for the umpteenth time.

Getting shot had him realizing that a life within the police world would always mean a life in danger, even as a Police Chief with a “desk job”.

Chance met with Jill last week to update her on his life, and when he told her he was thinking about a career change, she was elated.

While the company is called “Chancellor-Winters”, there are far more “Winters” than “Chancellors” at the helm of things running the show.

While Jill does not have to worry about Lily or Devon screwing her over, having Chance on board could secure her family’s own legacy within the company.

Still, will Lily and Devon see Chance as a possible threat to their leadership, or will they welcome him with open arms?

Y&R Spoilers – Mamie Johnson Could Run With This

Lily and Devon will probably be fine with Chance joining the ranks, depending on which division he enters, which likely would be security because of his current background.

As he and Devon are co-parents to Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware), along with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), Mr. Hamilton-Winters won’t have any issues helping Chance with this transition.

A job at Chancellor-Winters is far safer than one with the police or feds, and for Dom’s sake, Devon will do all he can to help.

After all, Nate was given a chance when he left his medical career behind and has thrived well in business, despite loyalty issues.

Still, Mami may take the opportunity to create drama between Lily, Devon, and Jill. She’ll remind her great-niece and great-nephew that Jill cannot be trusted and will only have Chance’s best interests at heart.

She may also note that they have to be wary of Jill, as she might be setting him up to take things over with the company, as soon as he’s learned the ropes.
