Y&R Spoilers: Jess Walton Teases Ugly Jill & Mamie Battle

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that fans should brace themselves for an all-out war between Jill Abbott and Mamie Johnson (Veronica Redd). Jill’s portrayer, Jess Walton, recently sat down to chat with Soaps.SheKnows.com to talk about what the future holds between Ms. Abbott and Ms. Johnson.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers Highlights

During the chat, Jess reveals she was happy to leave her Oregon home and head back to the Y&R’s Los Angeles studio to tape scenes with Veronica and jumped at the opportunity for this “Mamie versus Jill” storyline.

She states she loves the scenes she shares with Ms. Redd and notes there’s a lot of history between Mamie and Jill. In fact, Walton relays that she realized years ago that Ms. Abbott hated Mamie more than Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper).

Jess points out that while Katherine and Jill’s feud was legendary, it was actress Brenda Dickson (who played Jill Abbott before Walton) who filmed most of the antagonistic aspects of the rivalry with Chancellor.

Meanwhile, Walton notes that she and Veronica created that for Mamie and Jill’s feud. She’s quick to say that she adores Veronica; however, Ms. Johnson does infuriate Jill.

Y&R Spoilers – Jill Abbott’s Ready For A Battle

Jess states during the interview that Jill is on a warpath, and despite Ms. Abbott’s humbler beginnings, fans would think that she’d be happy that Mamie’s made a success of herself.

However, Walton was quick to note that this is “so not” Jill. Not only did Ms. Johnson reveal Abbott’s affair with Jed Sanders (Josh Taylor) years ago, but she also tried to steal her husband.

Walton also notes that “everyone” loved Mamie, while everyone “hated” Jill back in the day. Still, that may not necessarily be the case in GC, these days.

While Jess was tight-lipped about “what comes next” between these two bitter rivals, she did reveal that Jill will be sticking around for a while this time around, which may mean, Mamie does the same.
