Y&R Spoilers: Jeremy’s Offer Is Tempting – Phyllis Romantically Pairs With Diane’s Tormentor?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) believes Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is his perfect match. He knows that Phyllis loathes Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) as much as he does. Both are motivated by different forces.

Phyllis knew Diane was in trouble the moment she saw her face in Los Angeles, California. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) soon turned against the woman he had recently re-pledged his love to and reunited with Diane soon thereafter.

Jeremy took advantage of Diane when they were living in California. She turned him in for money laundering in trade for immunity. Diane later teamed with Jack to frame Jeremy for grand larceny, believing he had been neutralized.

Diane told Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) that she faked being murdered by his wife’s grandmother, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), because of severe mental health problems. That begged a question. Were these claimed problems ever diagnosed, and if so, were they, and are they being treated?

Walters’ character knowingly allowed her only child, who was not an adult at that time in the plot, to believe she was dead. She allowed Jack to shoulder the burden of handling Kyle’s intense grief and then raising their son while she masqueraded under the pseudonym Taylor Jensen.

Diane does not like Jeremy because she is arguably the deeper criminal. Morally, Jeremy is no peach, and Diane is a rotten apple, according to many, including Phyllis.

Phyllis has resisted Jeremy’s calls to team with him and get Diane. Stafford’s character is savvy, knowing that she could be dragged down.

Jeremy was open to believing that Diane wanted to reconnect with him to pull some capers. Her professed desire to seek risky thrills was not immediately accepted. Jeremy tested her, not knowing she was setting him up to be framed for stealing the pricey necklace Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) bought his wife.

The problem for Phyllis is that various people have been hurt through their association with him.

Phyllis has an aura about her. Diane would term that glow repulsive, but countless men, including Jack and Jeremy, would disagree.

It will be intriguing to see if Hyde’s character is a short-term persona or a longer-term player. If Jeremy sticks in GC, he is primed to pursue Phyllis romantically. She could get Jack and Diane’s goat by eventually pairing with him, or at least making it appear that way on Y&R.
