Y&R Spoilers: Jeremy Plans Takedown – Jack Able To Defend Fiance?

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) is plotting the takedown of his nemesis, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) wants to wish away that problem by avoiding the vengeful ex-con when returning from the Abbott cabin.

Diane might find it hard, if not impossible, to defeat or even neutralize Jeremy if she was still living in Los Angeles, California, under the assumed name, Taylor Jensen. But viewers can see, in retrospect, the many reasons why Diane wanted to come back to life in GC.

Diane faked her murder, which framed Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) when Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was a little boy. That fateful choice, which she claims was driven by her fragile mental state, led to Jack shouldering the burden of parenthood.

One tie between what Diane did then and her connection to Jeremy is recklessness. Both Diane and Jeremy have led reckless lives that discounted or dismissed the impact their actions had on others.

Diane was wronged by Jeremy, who knowingly used her as a money laundering mule to further his criminal actions. She rightly provided evidence to the authorities about his actions. Jeremy resents Diane’s actions because he does not believe his actions reflected crimes with punishable consequences.

Y&R Spoilers – Jack Abbot Used For Defense

Jeremy was contacted by Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). She demonstrated recklessness by providing him with Diane’s contact information and told him, based on a correct assumption, that Walters’ character was responsible for his jail sentence.

Hyde’s character jetted to Wisconsin and began his now months-long pursuit of Diane. She and Jack have been attempting to outwit him, including their amateurish frame for grand larceny.

Diane is arguably using Jack whether he realizes it or not. She does love him, and he either loves her or has turned his defense of Kyle’s mother into an in-the-moment, nostalgia-revived bond.

Jeremy is reckless. Viewers see that theme linked to the three other connected characters, Diane, Jack, and Phyllis.

Understandably, Jeremy is angry. He believed Diane should not have betrayed him by reporting his actions to the authorities. But he has not thought it through because her only defense at the time was to do so or face jail time herself.

Based on Diane having convinced Jeremy she was willing to return to their criminal partnership earlier this year, it appears his feelings for her go beyond her use as a mule. Jeremy plans retribution for a reason similar to why Phyllis seems destined to join his revenge plan. They were romantically rebuked by Diane and Jack respectively on Y&R.
