Y&R Spoilers: Jack’s Surprise, Diane’s Secret – He Proposes, Jeremy Threatens

The Young and The Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will have a stunning surprise while Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will have a scary secret. Jack will propose to Diane, but she won’t want to spoil the mood by telling him she got a scary text from Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Stunning Surprise

Jack and Diane are at the cabin, where Kyle and Summer Newman-Abbott (Michael Mealor, Allison Lanier) had taken her for Christmas. Jack is pretty sure that is a secure spot that Jeremy, who Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) had warned them about, would never find them. Stark had even gotten threatening with Chance at Crimson Lights, letting him know he had an eye on him and his personal life, to which Chance warned him right back.

Jack has a stunning surprise for Diane, that she had hoped for and dreamed about, but never dreamed would happen. It’s rather spontaneous but definitely not unplanned, as he proposes marriage to her on the spur of the moment; in spite of their fraught and complicated history he’s happy with her.

Y & R Spoilers – Avoiding Drama

Diane knows full well the drama her return from the dead has brought back into Jack and Kyle’s lives in the past year or so. That’s why she prefers not to bring any more into it during this romantic time in the cabin in the woods, even though Chance’s warning reverberates. Chance had told them not to handle any further danger or threats from Stark on their own and to call him or the GCPD. She gets a scary text from Stark saying that he knows where she is hiding, reminding her he means business about getting from her what he claims she owes him.

Jack gives an engagement ring to Diane, hoping she’ll say yes, but she weighs in her mind what her answer will be. On one hand, she is thrilled, and she wants to tell him yes, but on the other, she fears that Stark could ruin everything and bring danger if she does. She and Stark were involved in a lot more than the criminal business where he used her as a money mule, they were lovers at one time.

Diane shocks Jack as well as Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) when they hear about his proposal – and her response. Fearing reprisals and worse from Stark, it’s pretty much a given that she tells him no.
