Y&R Spoilers: Is The Soap Opera Getting It Right With Victoria Newman?

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will continue to get duped by Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). With that being said, what happened to the strong, smart, Vicky Newman fans loved, once upon a time? She was once a force to be reckoned with in the boardroom and rarely allowed her business judgment to be swayed by matters of the heart.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – The Old Vicky Would Never Put A Romance Before Business

Victoria has always been a complex character, but she’s never fluttered around like she has, as of late. The last few years have shown a very different side to Ms. Newman. Even prior to Nate, Vicky was completely bamboozled by Ashland Locke (Robert Newman), and almost lost all control of Newman Enterprises because she fell in love with a man who was after her father’s company and not her.

So, to have back-to-back poor judgment with men seems odd for any strong female character, especially someone with the confidence and business savvy that Victoria has always had. She may never have had the best taste in men, but she would certainly have always prioritized Newman Enterprises.

Y&R Spoilers – When Did It All Go Wrong?

It seems as if Vic’s made one bad romantic decision after another since her abusive romantic reunion with JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill), circa 2017. Being in a toxic relationship such as this one likely ate at her self-esteem, which could explain why she isn’t making the best decisions when it comes to romance. While Nate is using Vic to climb that corporate ladder, even simply luring him from Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) was a bad business decision, which will only worsen once Hastings’s true intentions surface. Hopefully, it’s not too late for Newman Enterprises and Vicky when the truth comes out. Regardless, the Victoria character has been a shadow of her former self, for years now.
