Y&R Spoilers: Is GH Alum, Lexi Ainsworth, Campaigning For A Role In Genoa City?

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that someone from Port Charles could really shake up things in Genoa City. Actress Lexi Ainsworth (General Hospital’s ex-Kristina Corinthos-Davis) was let go from the soap earlier this year; however, could the Y&R snatch her up at some point?

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Lexi Ainsworth Comments On The CBS Soap

Shortly after Lexi was let go from GH, she offered some interesting comments during an interview. She stated that she had auditioned for the Y&R in 2022 while they were in the process of recasting the Summer Newman character, currently played by Allison Lanier.

Ainsworth noted that the Y&R’s casting directors were looking for a “blonde bombshell” to play Summer, something she believes she is not.

Still, Lexi also stated that there are a ton of former GH colleagues that are currently on the CBS soap that she’d love to work with again, like Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe Fisher, GH’s ex-Margaux Dawson) Brytni Sarpy (Elena Dawson, GH’s ex-Valerie Spencer), and Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott, GH’s ex-Patrick Drake).

Interestingly enough, when Sarpi was on GH as Valerie, she and Lexi’s character Kristina shared a kiss. Sadly, Brytni ended up leaving the ABC soap for the Y&R before a love story unfolded between the two.

Y&R Spoilers – New Character Or Recast?

Lexi was let go as GH’s Kristina, and actress Kate Mansi was brought in as a recast. She debuted on GH in May of this year.

While Mansi has received a positive reaction from both fans and critics alike, viewers still miss seeing Lexi in the land of Port Charles.

Could she make a hop over to Genoa City? Would she make a good fit for recast or possibly a brand-new, mysterious, character who enters the little town? Only time will tell!
