Y&R Spoilers: How Will Chelsea Exit?

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers note that Chelsea Lawson might exit storylines for a brief time. After all, her portrayer actress Melissa Claire Egan is currently expecting baby number two!

Lawson is on a roll right now. Not only is her work life on point, but her romance with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is all smooth sailing. So, how will the show write her off while Melissa welcomes a new bundle into her family?

Anything can trigger a mental health episode and with Conner Newman’s (Judah Mackey) recent struggles, this could cause a bump in the road when it comes to Chelsea’s progress. As of this writing, her son hasn’t been given the news about his baby sister’s passing, and when he hears it, he may blame himself.

Of course, it wasn’t Conner’s fault in any way, shape, or form, but little children don’t always see things that way. If he “wished” her away during his confused state, then he may feel as if he got what he wanted. Should Chelsea’s son spiral, this could create a domino effect. Lawson may need to seek treatment at a facility away from town in order to get better.

Then again, anything could cause a relapse. Perhaps the video game she’s working on with Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) isn’t doing well or there’s a snag in the project. Even a simple fight with Billy could cause a chain reaction.

Y&R Spoilers – Chelsea’s “At Home”, “At The Office”, Just Not In Front Of The TV Screen

According to Y&R spoilers, maybe Chelsea doesn’t officially “exit” storylines, she’s simply not seen onscreen during Egan’s maternity leave. That is, she’s mentioned here and there, but not within any scenes. Hey, if Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) can be erased in that fashion, then Lawson can “disappear” for a couple of months, too.

Then again, maybe Chelsea simply decides to go visit her mom or takes Conner on a nice trip for some one-on-one time to create some vacay memories.
