The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) agreed with his youngest sister, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland). They do not want Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) voted off Jabot’s Board of Directors. But Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) was stunned when Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) agreed with them.

Jack knows Diane has battled with Ashley since returning from claimed dead status. But Jack’s revived loved and lovey-dovey fiance does not want him to fight with Ashley. Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) has also been pushing Ashley away from her fixation on Jack’s love interest for months. Tucker and Diane do not agree on much, except this plot point.

According to Y&R spoilers, Diane sees the danger of Jack forcing Ashley out of the family business. Davidson’s character would never stand for it and seek ongoing retribution.

The above would become Jack’s main focus rather than love. Considering that he and Diane have a fall wedding scheduled, the bride-to-be wants to keep her future husband happy.

Along with that, Diane has already gained a C-suite title as Jabot’s Chief Talent Officer. She now can help shape the company and knows an internal sibling battle would not be good for business.

Ashley is working on the parallel plan Tucker convinced her to pursue. Their new company, tentatively titled Simply Ashley, is aimed at competing with Jabot.

It would seem to be a conflict of interest to have a member of Jabot’s Board co-heading an intended rival. But Ashley and Tucker’s company was just born. In the soapy world, it will not need much time to become a competitor.

Aligning herself with Tucker appears to be mostly about prodding Jack and Diane, rather than love. It remains an open question as to whether Ashley remarries Tucker and if so, whether that union would be real or lasting.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Billy Abbott Holds Power

Billy agreed to Jack’s pitch earlier this year, becoming his co-Chief Executive Officer after Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) resigned due to a lack of interest and his ever-changing interests.

Jack was thrilled by his brother’s backing but now knows Billy will not always follow his lead. While Bergman’s character does not recognize Billy and the others want to avoid weakening the company, Jack does believe Thompson’s character remains loyal to the business their father founded.

It feels as though Ashley and Tucker will force Jabot to respond to whatever threat they intend to pose. Billy’s influence and power appear likely to be flexed by that point in the plot on Y&R.
