Y&R Spoilers: How Far Will Audra Go? – Summer’s Assessment Hits Hard

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) had no plans to connect with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). But a chance meeting at the Genoa City Athletic Club happened after he thought himself out of marriage and Audra took advantage.

Both characters deserve equal credit for wronging Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier). Of course, Kyle’s offense is infinitely worse because she is his wife. And the present tense was used in the last sentence due to the flow of the current soapy situation.

Among the many appealing visuals is the long-shot daytime scene of Genoa City. It features Chancellor Park with the backdrop of various skyscrapers, including the Jabot building where Kyle formerly worked for his family’s business.

Summer still works for the Abbotts because that became her family when she married into it. Divorce is Kyle’s intention through his intentionally hurtful words and foolish actions.

As often happens, various GC residents happen to see each other in the park that was named in honor of the city’s greatest resident in modern times, the late Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper). So, Summer, Kyle, and Audra all being in the same setting at the same time does not surprise devoted viewers.

Y&R Spoilers – Kyle Abbott’s Ego Overshadows Shame

Kyle should be ashamed of himself for condemning Summer because she defended Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Her mother was and remains responsible for putting her in a most awkward position.

Mealor’s character decided that Summer’s perceived act of betrayal, in not telling him Phyllis was alive, gave him license to strike back. He chose to hurt Summer which was never her intention while she was trying to process Phyllis not having been poisoned by Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters).

One has to have humility to feel shame. Kyle is projecting boastful pride in himself, painting himself as a victim to justify his response. He is incapable of recognizing that as shameful and appears to have no qualms about removing Summer from Harrison Locke’s (Kellen Enriquez) day-to-day life.

There is no telling how far Audra will go. But Summer must shift to self-protection so she can begin to approach the healing process and then enter it.

Kyle has made his choice and is unaware that Audra preyed on his vulnerabilities because that is what opportunists do. This transactional relationship is not based on love.

Summer can retain hope for the man she loves, believing he might pull himself away from Audra and potentially return to Jabot. But Summer can not afford to be unrealistic and must take control of her life so that Kyle does not destroy more of it on Y&R.
