Heather explains that she’s thrilled to see him in a better place than when she left. She’s pleased to see him passionate about his project. Heather cares about Daniel, and that comes through in their brief interactions.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Heather wanted to see with her own eyes that Daniel is doing better before reuniting him with his daughter. Heather will know he’s not a threat to Lucy and arrange a time when he can catch up with her.
