Up until last week, she was spiraling as she mourned the sudden death of her mom, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Now that she knows the truth, she’ll continue to battle with mental health issues. She’ll worry about what’s next for her mom, feel guilty about lying to her husband Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), and deal with anxiety knowing that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) is being put through the wringer for a crime she did not commit.

Y&R spoilers suggest that Summer will struggle with keeping this secret from Kyle. Their marriage is hanging by a thread as it is; however, she knows that if she tells her hubby the truth about her mother, he’ll run straight to the authorities to free his mom, which could jeopardize Red’s future in GC.

Phyllis asked Summer for “some time” so she could think up a good plan to get her out of the mess she’s in. But when Kyle finds out that Summer knew the truth all along and still let his mom rot in prison, their marriage could be over.

The truth will eventually come out, and when it does, Summer may not only face losing Kyle, but she’d also be an accomplice to a crime.
